"He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, so that they would not crush him."
It is a strange thing to have discovered that our Lord might feel overwhelmed by our constant and appealing need for him solve our problems. What he really does asking for a boat kept ready is a space and freedom to look at us and his mission from a new perspective, from the sea. We sometimes, emphasizing our freedom, forget to respect God's freedom that is perfectly manifested in the mystery of incarnation, in the mystery of Jesus Christ.
