"He made a whip out of cords and drove them all out of the temple area, with the sheep and oxen, and spilled the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables, and to those who sold doves he said, Take these out of here, and stop making my Father's house a marketplace."
The people of Israel was warned at Sinai to not make any image of God, to not use his Holy Name, to not commit idolatry in any other way. Here, we see people who make money in the house of the Lord. There is no other solution like a long and with many cords whip in the hands of the furious God.
