N_31Z_Lc19,2-3

"Now a man there named Zacchaeus, who was a chief tax collector and also a wealthy man,
was seeking to see who Jesus was; but he could not see him because of the crowd, for he was short in stature."

Why is Zacchaeus eager to see Jesus? There is something that he is looking for and what his wealth can not give him. Moreover, the people he robbed by imposing too high taxes and his short body make him unable to see Jesus. Zacchaeus faces the unexpected encounter of his deep, free-sin desires with the unpredictable, human obstacles. Only Jesus can reconcile them.
